Chad Roylance is a resident of North Ogden Utah.  He has been married since 1992 and has 3 children.  He is a graduate of Weber High School, and attended Weber State University and the Ogden Weber Applied Technology College.  He works in the service and repair industry and also teaches night school at the Ogden Weber Applied Technology College.  He is an avid follower of politics and that is how this weblog came about.

My wife and kids

This is a new experience for me.  I am beginning this blog in an attempt to have some civil discourse on the subject of this great nation of ours.  I have read many blogs in which one side attacks the other, and the entire thing denegrates into name calling.  That will not be allowed here.  Also, because I have a “life” (a full time job, a part time job and a family), the posts on this blog may be sporadic.  They will occur when I have the time to write them.  I am not looking for a following of “ditto heads” and I do not need those of you that agree with me to pat me on the back.  That is not what I am looking for.  What I am looking for is discourse on the subject posted.  If you agree with me, that is great.  But please do much more than that.  Tell me why you agree with me, give examples and expound on the subject being discussed.  In other words, teach me.  If you disagree with me, that is also okay.  But tell me why you disagree with me, cite examples, and please do not degrade yourselves or this blog by name calling.  (That applies to those of you that may agree with me also)  I want this blog to be different than the many others I have read.

My political leanings come from a lifetime of experience and study.  I am a great fan of American History, though I may be ignorant and uneducated in certain areas.  I do not claim to be an intellectual or a scholar.  My upbringing, my education, my religion and my family have a great deal to do with the way I think.  Remember, just because I may believe or think differently than you, doesn’t make me wrong.  In the upcoming days, weeks, months and years, I hope to educate and be educated.

If you comment on my ramblings, please be respectful.  I will return the courtesy.  Any comments that I feel are hurtful, mean spirited, or blatently false, I will remove.  I hope to have many converstions with many of you in the future.  Who knows we may learn a little something from each other.
